Plus AI helps consultants, sales teams, educators, and other professionals create and edit slides faster, so they spend less time formatting, and more time refining their ideas and engaging with customers.
We built Plus AI to integrate directly into the tools professionals already use (PowerPoint and Google Slides), so it’s easy to learn, and customers don’t have to make any changes to their existing workflows.

Presentations are one of the most important ways knowledge workers communicate, and it’s a massive market. So we’re fortunate to be in the position of moving at startup speed in a big market while operating a real business that generates significant revenue (and profit).

About the role
As a staff software engineer at Plus, you’ll be working closely with our product and engineering team on building and shipping customer-facing products to tens of thousands of paying customers.
You’ll be expected to lead the development of new AI capabilities from prototype to production, work with our entire team on product strategy, planning, and feature scoping, and contribute to our team’s unique culture and processes.
Examples of what you’ll work on
- Creating next-gen AI systems that allow our customers to create beautiful, on-brand presentations using their custom presentation templates
- Building agentic AI workflows, so our customers can easily use Plus across different platforms (e.g., email, Slack, Teams)
- Building multimodal AI evaluation systems to improve our AI slide design
- Prototyping new systems to dynamically generate customized slide decks for prospective customers
What we're looking for
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping features to end users and experience developing generative AI products
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, especially while taking 0 to 1 projects from concept through production
- Strong intuition for design and a high, detail-oriented bar for user experiences
- Experimentation mindset and comfort operating in an ambiguous environment
